Forest Fire in Megalopolis, Arcadia

A fire broke out in a forest area in Vedouritsa, between Anemodouri and Marmaria, in the municipality of Megalopolis, Arcadia, after being ignited by lightning.

37 firefighters are operating at the scene, supported by two teams of the 9th EMODE and 10 vehicles. Two aircraft and one helicopter are assisting from the air.

The fire is burning in a difficult-to-access area, but no settlements are threatened.
