Forest Fire in Vovousa, Ioannina

A fire broke out in a forest area between Vovousa and Laista, in the Flambouro area of the Municipality of Zagori. Ground forces of the Fire Department and helicopters are operating at the scene.

The fire does not threaten residential areas. Rainfall in the area is aiding in the extinguishing efforts.

19 firefighters with 1 foot patrol team, 5 vehicles, and 3 helicopters have been mobilized.
