Fire in Volvi Municipality, Thessaloniki: Extinguishing Operation Underway

A fire broke out in farmland and forest area in the Arethousa area of the Volvi municipality, Thessaloniki, on Saturday afternoon.

Strong ground and air firefighting forces are operating to extinguish the fire. Specifically, 65 firefighters with two teams of foot patrols from the 2nd EMODE, 23 vehicles, two helicopters and three aircraft were mobilized. Assistance is also being provided by water trucks and OTA project machinery.

The fire broke out in farmland and forest area near Arethousa Volvis.
