Fire in Kouvaras, Attica: Traffic Regulations in Effect

A fire broke out on Saturday afternoon in Kouvaras, Attica, in the Velatouri area, below the Merenda hill. According to initial reports, the fire is burning land plots.

42 firefighters with 18 vehicles, volunteers, 1 aircraft, and 7 helicopters are operating in the area, with assistance from water tankers of the Attica Region.

Due to the fire, traffic has been stopped on the Myrrinountos - Ag. Aikaterinis provincial road, from the height of Hippodromou Street to the height of Avlakiou Street.
