Three fire fronts are raging in Chios, in the areas of Potamia, Volissos, and Pispilounta. 112 alerts have been issued for evacuations.

Specifically, the areas of Volissos, Limnia, Limnos, Chori, Sparounta, Pispilounta, and Nea Potamia are being evacuated. Residents are urged to move towards the city of Chios and Kardamyla, following the instructions of the authorities.

25 firefighters with 9 vehicles and 2 helicopters are operating at the scene. According to the mayor, one house in Nea Potamia has been burned.

Strong winds are blowing in the area, making the extinguishing work difficult.
