Grigorios Bakas: Heartbreaking accounts of the fires in Preveza

Journalist Grigorios Bakas tearfully described the situation in Preveza, where fires reached his mother's village. In a live connection with the show "Kalokairi Parea" on ANT1, Grigorios Bakas reported that residents were forced to evacuate their homes, leaving their properties behind.

"There are no words... the fire entered the paradise we had, half of it burned... the memories, the village, burned, they saw their house burning. Everything burned, Agios Georgios burned," he said characteristically.

Firefighters tried to prevent the spread of the fire, but part of the village was destroyed. Grigorios Bakas's brother notified their father to leave the house.
