The Athens Art High School is facing serious problems, with the ground floor classrooms flooding during every heavy rainfall. The school, operating since 2019 without a permanent building, has been relocated to various locations, facing space shortages and maintenance issues.

On January 21, during severe weather, the dance and art classrooms flooded once again. The Ampelokipi area, where the school is located, recorded high levels of rainfall.

The Municipality of Athens has undertaken the repair and renovation of a building complex in the Neapoli Exarchia area, which is intended to house the school. However, the Ministry of Culture has designated two buildings as listed, which delayed the works. The goal is for the school to be ready by 2028.

The school's principal, Dionysis Maroulis, described the difficulties faced by students and teachers, emphasizing the lack of space and concerns about safety during rainfall. The Deputy Mayor of Infrastructure, Paris Charlaftis, stated that the Municipality is cooperating to prepare the tender documents for the project.

The Parents' Association has expressed concerns about the delay in procedures and heating problems at the school.
