Balcony Collapse at Unfinished Building in Chania – Damage to Vehicles and Store

A balcony of an unfinished building collapsed in Chania, causing damage to vehicles and a store. The incident occurred at the intersection of Kydonias and Koronaiou streets, opposite the KTEL intercity bus station.

According to flashnews.gr, the collapse occurred on Saturday afternoon (8/11) during peak traffic hours. The debris caused damage to parked motorcycles, a car, and a store on the ground floor of the building.

Initially, the balcony on the top floor collapsed, which in its fall also swept away the balcony below.
