Corfu: Tourist rescued from inaccessible spot in Paleokastritsa

A young tourist was trapped in an inaccessible spot in the Paleokastritsa area of Corfu. A large operation was launched by the Fire Department to rescue him.

The operation involved 11 firefighters, including 3 members of the mountain rescue team and 7 members of EMODE, led by commander N. Kollas.

Firefighters, using special equipment, approached the tourist and transferred him to a safe place. The rescue operation lasted approximately three hours.

The tourist is in good health.
