Corfu: Forklift Falls into Port, Hits Cruise Ship

A forklift truck fell into the sea at the new port of Corfu, in the cruise ship docking area. According to the 59-year-old driver, the machine rolled on its own and fell into the sea while parked on the pier.
During the fall, the forklift came into contact with the right stern of a cruise ship, causing two superficial scratches. However, the scratches do not affect the ship's seaworthiness.
The forklift was recovered by a crane and a diver after the cruise ship's departure. The Central Port Authority of Corfu is conducting a preliminary investigation into the incident. No marine pollution was caused.
