Traffic Restrictions in Athens for Polytechnic Anniversary

Due to the celebrations for the 52nd Anniversary of the Polytechnic Uprising, special traffic regulations will be in effect in the center of Athens from Saturday, November 15th to Tuesday, November 18th, 2025.

Specifically, there will be a prohibition of stopping and parking, as well as a disruption of vehicle traffic, gradually and depending on traffic conditions, on the following streets:

  • Stournari (between Exarcheia Square and 3rd of September Street)
  • 28th of October (Patission Street, between Kodrigtonos and El. Venizelou)
  • Tositsa and Polytechnic pedestrian streets
  • Bouboulinas (between Stournari and Alexandra Avenue)
  • Tzortz, Botasi, Kaniggos, Solomou, Kapodistriou (in the respective sections)
  • Exarcheia Square

On Monday, November 17th, 2025, from 06:00, a ban on stopping and parking will be in effect, as well as a gradual traffic disruption from noon onwards, on the following roads:

  • El. Venizelou (University Avenue)
  • Omonoia Square
  • Aiolou (between El. Venizelou and Stadiou Street)
  • Stadiou Street, Syntagma Square, V. Georgiou A'
  • Vas. Sofias Avenue, Academias Street, Alexandra Avenue (along their entire length)

Also, there will be modifications to the routes and stops of buses and trolleys, according to a decision by "Road Transport S.A."
