Approximately 300 migrants were transferred from Crete to Kavala by the Navy ship "Chios". The journey lasted 35 hours.

A video shows men, women, and children gathered on the deck of the ship during the journey. The transfer took place without tension, with the migrants remaining calm under the supervision of the authorities.

The disembarkation took place at the port of "Filippos B'" in Nea Karvali, and the migrants were transferred to a closed accommodation facility in Serres by buses of the Hellenic Police.

The operation was carried out within the framework of managing the increased migration flows in Crete, under the coordination of the Ministry of Migration and Asylum, the Hellenic Police, and the Navy.

The Heraklion Police Officers Union issued a statement, congratulating the police officers for their professionalism, emphasizing the difficult working conditions and the need for better infrastructure.
