Metsovo: 15-year-old suffers heatstroke - Liver transplant in Italy

A 15-year-old suffered heatstroke while hiking in Metsovo during a heatwave. The teenager, who was on vacation in his village, was initially taken to the Metsovo health center and then to the Hatzikosta Hospital in Ioannina.

Due to the severity of his condition, doctors stabilized the 15-year-old and decided to transfer him to the Pediatric ICU of Rio. Subsequently, it was deemed necessary to transfer him to a special care center in Turin, Italy, where he will undergo a liver transplant.
