Athens Awards Prince Albert with City Medal

The Mayor of Athens, Haris Doukas, awarded the Medal of the City to Prince Albert of Monaco in a special ceremony at Athens City Hall.

The award recognizes Prince Albert's contribution to environmental protection and the promotion of sustainable development.

Haris Doukas stated that Athens welcomed Prince Albert II of Monaco as one of the most consistent environmental advocates internationally. He also referred to the contribution of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation in strengthening scientific knowledge and protecting marine ecosystems.

Prince Albert emphasized the importance of cooperation for the protection of the planet and referred to the principles of Athens for logic, science, dialogue and respect for the law.

It is noted that Prince Albert is in Greece for the Delphi Economic Forum and for the inauguration of the Monaco consulate in Athens. He also met with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and the President of the Republic, Konstantinos Tasoulas.
