Olympia Odos: Patras-Pyrgos Section to Open on August 1st

From August 1st, the Kaminia – Pyrgos section of the Patras – Pyrgos highway will be available, marking the end of a long period of road insecurity in Western Greece.
The new section, 65 kilometers long, will operate as the first fully automated highway in Greece, exclusively with electronic means of payment. The Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Nikos Tahiaos, stated that the project is being delivered in record time and with the best specifications.
The concession company, Olympia Odos, announced that the operational use of the section will begin at 12:00 noon on Friday, August 1st, 2025. The toll system for the Kyllini – Pyrgos zone (29 km) will take effect, while the Mytilogli – Kyllini zone (46 km) will remain free of charge until the completion of the works.
The charge will be made exclusively with electronic tolls and automatic payment machines. For holders of the OLYMPIA PASS transponder, the VALUE discount program will apply.
