Paros: Champion Jet 3 Collision – Stranded 1,000+ Passengers

The Seajets vessel Champion Jet 3 collided with the port of Paros on Saturday morning, causing disruption to over 1,000 passengers.

The 1,012 passengers were forced to wait for over an hour and then disembarked to continue their journey on other ships. Those destined for Naxos, Irakleia, and Schinoussa boarded the Blue Star Delos, while those traveling to Koufonisia boarded the Hellenic Highspeed.

No injuries were reported from the collision. However, according to passenger testimonies, there were issues with boarding the Blue Star ship, as some passengers did not have tickets for it.

One passenger told protothema.gr: "They are taking us to Naxos. And they will drop us off again so we can take another one to Schinoussa."
