Factories Evacuated in Patras Industrial Area Due to Fire

Friesland Campina Hellas and Athenian Brewery have proactively evacuated their factories in the Patras Industrial Area (ΒΙΠΕ Πατρών) due to the fire in Achaia. According to company sources speaking to OT, the safety of employees is the priority, while security personnel remain on alert.

The companies are in communication with authorities and the Fire Department, monitoring the fire's progress. According to the Fire Department, 50 firefighters with 18 vehicles, as well as 8 aircraft and two helicopters, are operating in the area.

The fire started in the Flogeraika area of Erymanthos and spread due to strong winds. Messages were sent via 112 for the evacuation of the Kamenitsa, Achaiko, Didacheika, Alissos, Lousika, and Spaliareika areas.
