Rhodes: Israeli Tourists' Ship Reception to Proceed as Planned

The reception of the ship carrying Israeli tourists in Rhodes will proceed as planned on Monday, according to the Deputy Regional Governor of the South Aegean, Apostolos Asprakis.

Mr. Asprakis responded to a call for a protest gathering by the Rhodes Municipality employees' association, emphasizing that the reception will be carried out by local organizations and productive sectors of the island.

In a social media post, Mr. Asprakis stated that "those who are comfortably objecting have no place in this land" and that professionals and workers will welcome the cruise ship "Crown Iris" with its visitors.

This statement comes after protests in Syros, where demonstrators prevented Israeli tourists from disembarking from a cruise ship.
