Rhodes: 27-Year-Old Arrested for Leaving 9-Year-Old at Hotel Pool

A 27-year-old woman was arrested in Faliraki, Rhodes, accused of child endangerment. On Saturday afternoon, the woman allegedly left her 9-year-old daughter unattended at a hotel pool.
Other hotel guests found the child unsupervised and notified the management and the police. Officers from the Archangelos Police Station arrested the mother, who was reportedly in a nearby shop.
A case file was opened against the 27-year-old for neglect of supervision of a minor and exposure. The case was brought to justice through the in flagrante delicto procedure. It is noted that the pool did not have a lifeguard at the time of the incident.
The incident has raised concerns about parental responsibility and safety measures in tourist facilities.
