Rhodes: Children Injured at Amusement Park – Testimony and Investigation

Five children were injured in an accident at an amusement park in Rhodes on Friday night. A 16-year-old described to MEGA how he was thrown from the ride, hitting a wall.

16-year-old's testimony: "I was thrown into the air and hit a wall... Something worse could have happened." The young man, a permanent resident of the island, was seen in the video with torn red shorts.

The owner of the amusement park claims that there was no technical failure and that the accident was due to the reckless behavior of the children. Her lawyer, Stelios Alexandris, stated that the children stood up during the operation of the machine, which is prohibited.

The Municipality of Rhodes has suspended the operation of the amusement park until new technical inspection documents are submitted.
