4.6 Richter Earthquake in Skyros, Felt in Attica

An earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale occurred in Skyros at 23:04.

According to the Geodynamic Institute, the epicenter of the earthquake was located 32 kilometers west-northwest of Skyros, with a focal depth of 16.6 kilometers.

The tremor was also felt in Attica.

Professor Efthymios Lekkas stated on ERT that the area around Skyros experiences earthquakes of this magnitude and that "it is not something that worries us at first level."
