4.7 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes off Rhodes

An earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale occurred at 05:45 early Wednesday morning off the coast of Rhodes.

According to the Geodynamic Institute's Automatic Solution, the epicenter was located 37 kilometers east-northeast of the capital of the Dodecanese Prefecture. The focal depth was estimated at 10 kilometers.

The tremor was also felt on the Turkish coast.
