Thessaloniki: Removal of Umbrellas in Possidi and Aigopelagitika

A new operation to remove permanently placed umbrellas and equipment was carried out on the beaches of Possidi and Aigopelagitika by the Municipality of Kassandra, Halkidiki.

According to a municipality announcement, a significant reduction in the phenomenon was observed, with minimal violations, due to immediate interventions and public awareness.

The municipality states that interventions will continue in other coastal zones, aiming to ensure legality, protect the natural environment, and allow free use of public spaces.

The Municipality of Kassandra warns that it will continue interventions without warning.
