Chalkida: Student Electrocuted in School

A student at the Music School of Chalkida suffered an electric shock on Wednesday (15.10.2025) when she tried to turn on the light.

The student was taken to Chalkida Hospital and is hospitalized out of danger in the Pediatric Clinic.

The Association of Parents and Guardians of Chalkida Schools reported the incident, as well as a short circuit in a DEI substation at EPAL Chalkida on Monday (13.10.2025).

The Association blames the Municipality and the Ministry of Education for criminal negligence and lack of inspections in school buildings.

They are demanding immediate technical inspections and state funding for the maintenance of schools.
