Halkidiki: Beach Umbrella Impales 26-Year-Old Due to Strong Winds

A serious accident occurred in Halkidiki when a beach umbrella impaled a 26-year-old woman's leg due to strong winds. The incident took place on the beach of Poseidi.
The 26-year-old was injured in the leg and transported by ambulance to Polygyros Hospital. According to the Halkidiki EKAV Rescuers Team, she was immediately treated by a rescuer from EKAV Kassandreia and the ambulance crew. Immobilization and bandaging of the limb were performed to control the bleeding without removing the foreign body, and she was transported to Polygyros Hospital for removal and definitive restoration.
