Chios: Hospital on Alert After Migrant Incident

A major mobilization is underway at the hospital in Chios following the tragic incident involving migrants, where at least 14 people lost their lives. All hospital doctors have rushed to treat the injured.
The Mayor of Chios, Giorgos Malafis, stated that triage of the cases is underway, and at least two injured individuals will undergo immediate surgery. According to the Coast Guard, the injured include 7 men, 7 women, and 11 children. One woman is in critical condition.
In response to a question about reinforcing the hospital with doctors from other regions, the mayor replied, "We are managing it at the moment." The bodies of the victims have not yet been transferred to the hospital.
