24-Hour Metro and Bus Service in Athens Every Saturday

Starting today, the Athens metro and tram will operate 24 hours on Saturdays. Deputy Minister of Transport Konstantinos Kyranakis announced the extension of operating hours for the metro (lines 2 and 3) and the tram (lines T6 and T7).

In addition, 11 bus lines are added to the existing 24-hour and night lines. These lines are: 049, 221, 224, 421, 550, 608, 703, 842, A15, B11, B12.

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis visited the Syntagma metro station ahead of the start of 24-hour operation. According to OASA, this initiative aims to upgrade urban transport services and enhance Athens' extroversion.
