Farmers' Protests: Blockades Continue in Northern Greece

Farmers' protests continue in Northern Greece, with producers remaining at the blockades and planning general assemblies after the meeting of the Panhellenic Blockade Committee in Serres.
In Malgara, participants are proceeding with a blockade of the entrance to Thessaloniki from 12:00, while the route to Athens remains closed from December 1st. Producer Kostas Anestidis intends to propose a formula to facilitate the exit of holidaymakers ahead of the holidays.
In Chalcedon, a two-hour blockade will take place (from 17:00) on both lanes of the old National Road Thessaloniki - Edessa. Tractors and agricultural vehicles remain lined up at the "Green Lights" and at the Derveni junction.
The blockade in Halkidiki, at the traffic lights of Nikiti, in Sithonia, is being reinforced.
At the Kouloura junction, producers remain steadfast, while the indefinite blockade of the route to Veria, on the Egnatia Odos, by farmers from Alexandria remains in effect. Agricultural and livestock blockades also remain at the Gypsohori Pella junction.
In Western Macedonia, producers remain with their tractors at Bara Siatista, on the Egnatia Odos. Farmers, livestock breeders and beekeepers remain at the Filotas junction.
In the Kavala region, three blockades have been set up: in Chrysoupoli, at the Ancient Theatre of Philippi and at the Moustheni junction on the Egnatia Odos.
