Androulakis: Government's Impunity and Arrogance Undeserving of the People

The leader of PASOK-KINAL, Nikos Androulakis, in an article in "Efimerida ton Syntakton," strongly criticized the New Democracy government, accusing it of arrogance and institutional collapse.
Mr. Androulakis referred to the OPEKEPE fiasco and the postal vote process, arguing that they constitute "the clearest proof that the Maximos Mansion has lost every trace of political credibility." He also stressed that the government resorts to practices that degrade the quality of democracy and undermine respect for the Hellenic Parliament.
"The image of a government collapsing institutionally and politically no longer needs proof," he said, adding that the Mitsotakis government is in decline.
Mr. Androulakis emphasized the need to establish a pre-investigation committee for the OPEKEPE case in order to investigate possible crimes described by the European Public Prosecutor's Office. He accused New Democracy of abandoning Parliament, fearing losses in the vote.
The PASOK-KINAL leader concluded that the country needs political change and a credible government that serves the people and not the interests of a few powerful individuals.
