The president of PASOK-KINAL, Nikos Androulakis, visited the Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF) and emphasized the need for significant projects to highlight the city as an economic center of the Balkans.

Mr. Androulakis met with the management of TIF-Helexpo and representatives of the workers, stressing the necessity of projects such as the extension of the Thessaloniki Metro, the redevelopment of TIF with a metropolitan park, and the unification of the coastal front.

"The Balkans are on a growth trajectory, and Thessaloniki must serve its historical role, to be the economic center of the Balkans," he stated.

Tasos Tzikas, president of TIF-Helexpo, informed Mr. Androulakis about the characteristics of the 89th TIF and the space redevelopment plan.

Mr. Androulakis expressed his support for the mild redevelopment of TIF with an emphasis on greenery and the participation of city stakeholders in its management.
