Apostolos Vesyropoulos Passes Away at 59

Apostolos Vesyropoulos, secretary of the New Democracy parliamentary group and former Deputy Minister of Finance, has passed away at the age of 59 due to a heart attack. The incident occurred at Akti Kalogrias, in Sithonia, Halkidiki.

Vesyropoulos felt unwell and collapsed. Despite the efforts of paramedics and doctors at the Agiou Nikolaou Health Center, he could not be revived.

Born in Veria on May 29, 1966, he served as a Member of Parliament for Imathia with New Democracy since 2012. He was Deputy Minister of Finance, responsible for Tax Policy and Public Property, and Chairman of the Standing Committee on Economic Affairs of the Parliament.

He was married to Professor Katerina Katsavou and father of two children.
