Former ND MP Anastasios Gonis Passes Away

Anastasios Gonis, former Member of Parliament for New Democracy and Honorary President of the Court of Audit, has passed away at the age of 100.

Anastasios Gonis served as a Member of Parliament for New Democracy in 1993. He also served as President of the National Gallery, the Onassis Cardiac Surgery Center, OTE, the Piraeus Port Authority, GAIA OSE, the Supervisory Board of DEI, and the Body of Sworn Accountants.

In its announcement, New Democracy stated that Anastasios Gonis worked with dedication in the field of Justice, leaving behind a rich body of writing and scientific work.

He was born in 1926 in Kallithea Pylias, Messinia. He was a graduate of the Law School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the Panteion University of Political Sciences.
