Supreme Court: Request to Re-examine the P-3B Orion Case File

A retired Naval officer is requesting the Prosecutor of the Supreme Court, Konstantinos Tzavellas, to proceed with the investigation of the P-3B Orion aircraft modernization case. The case concerns a sum of $499.8 million.
According to the applicant, Panagiotis Stamatis, despite the payment of the total amount, no modernized aircraft has been delivered. Alexis Tsipras, Panos Kammenos, and Evangelos Apostolakis are at the center of the investigation.
The case file concerns the modernization of five P-3B Orion aircraft, aged 49 years. The program began in 2015, with an advance payment of $47.3 million. Despite the delays and the payment of all the stipulated amounts, no aircraft has been delivered modernized.
Mr. Stamatis states that Panos Kammenos' statements about a 20%-30% discount during negotiations are refuted, as the final amount remained at $499.8 million.
KYSEA approved the draft Interstate Agreement (LOA) on March 15, 2015, with the then Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, the Minister of National Defense Panos Kammenos, the Chief of HNDGS General Michail Kostarakos and the Chief of HNGS Vice Admiral Evangelos Apostolakis participating in the decision.
