Routsi's Request for Toxicology Tests in Tempi Tragedy Accepted

The Justice system is expected to approve the conducting of toxicology tests on the bodies of the victims of the Tempi train tragedy, following a request by Panos Routsi, the father of one of the victims. The decision of the Prosecutor's Office of Larissa is expected to be finalized within the day.
The tests will be carried out by experts from the official list of the judicial authority, while the families of the victims will have the opportunity to appoint their own technical advisors.
This new procedure does not imply a restart of the main investigation, but the formation of a separate case file for the exhumations and new tests. The results will be submitted to the court at the start of the trial.
In case of additional evidence or criminal liabilities, the new case file will follow an independent course.
