Dendias: Ioannina Liberation Anniversary – A Landmark of History

The Minister of National Defence, Nikos Dendias, referred to the anniversary of the liberation of Ioannina from the Ottoman yoke, emphasizing that it constitutes a landmark of modern Greek history.

In a post on the social network X, Mr. Dendias wrote: "The Liberation of Ioannina from the Ottoman yoke, on February 21, 1913, is one of the most important milestones in modern Greek history."

He also added: "113 years later, we honor the memory of those who fought for the Greek flag to fly in Epirus."
