Dendias Invites Hegseth to Visit Greece, Discuss F-35s

The Minister of National Defence, Nikos Dendias, invited the US Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, to visit Greece. The invitation was made during a meeting at the Pentagon, where the two ministers discussed defense cooperation and regional security issues.

Mr. Dendias presented the Greek positions on regional security issues and referred to the effort to reform and strengthen the Armed Forces. The procurement of F-35 fighter jets and the way to implement it were also discussed.

Subsequently, Mr. Dendias met with the Under Secretary of the Army, Elbridge Colby, to discuss bilateral defense cooperation issues. Mr. Dendias stressed the importance of his American counterpart's visit to Greece to strengthen bilateral relations.

In his statements, Mr. Dendias said that he had the opportunity to present the Greek positions on regional security issues, as well as the effort to reform the Armed Forces.
