Dendias at memorial service for cruiser 'Elli': 'Eternal be their memory'

The Minister of National Defence, Nikos Dendias, participated in the memorial service for the fallen of the cruiser 'Elli' in Tinos. The ceremony took place on the missile boat (TPK) 'Mykonios', with the Chief of HNGS Vice Admiral Dimitrios E. Kataras present.

Mr. Dendias represented Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and the government at the events for the celebration of the Dormition of the Theotokos. During the ceremony, a wreath was laid at the watery grave of the fallen of 'Elli', commemorating the 85th anniversary of the torpedoing of the ship on August 15, 1940.
