Tempi Case File Transferred to Larissa Court of Appeals Prosecutor's Office

The case file for the Tempi tragedy has been transferred to the Larissa Court of Appeals Prosecutor's Office. The information concerning the former General Secretaries of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure (2016-2023) has been forwarded to the Supreme Court.

The Judicial Council will decide whether the former General Secretaries will be tried together with Kostas Ach. Karamanlis for the misdemeanor of breach of duty. The prosecutor of the Supreme Court, Mr. Konstantinos Tzavellas, will forward the information to the president of the Judicial Council.

The main investigation concluded with 36 defendants. The Judicial Council will decide whether the General Secretaries will be examined as accomplices or whether their responsibility is independent, in which case a new investigation will begin.
