Tempi Train Crash Trial: Judge Recuses Herself Due to Konstantopoulou's Behavior

An unexpected development in the trial concerning the 'lost' videos of the Tempi train tragedy. The presiding judge of the Larissa Single-Member Misdemeanor Court has recused herself, citing insults from Zoe Konstantopoulou.
'The trial cannot continue like this; I have received countless insults over these months,' the judge stated. Zoe Konstantopoulou responded: 'Shame on you; we will wait for the council to decide on your recusal request.'
The court has adjourned, pending the decision of the judicial council. If the recusal is accepted, a new judge will be appointed, and the trial will start from the beginning.
The tension escalated when Konstantopoulou accused the judge of conferring with supervisor Milona during a recess. The judge denied the accusations, confirming she only went to retrieve the key to the evidence.
The trial concerns the non-submission of videos from the Thessaloniki Freight Station, from where the freight train departed on the night of February 28, 2023. The former president of OSE, the former CEO, and an executive of 'Interstar Security' are on trial.
