The Plenary of the presidents of the Bar Associations of Greece expressed its categorical opposition to the creation of a Legal Entity of Public Law outside the Bar Associations for matters concerning the practice, entry and advancement of lawyers.

In this context, the Plenary will submit proposals to the Ministry of Justice, with the main guidelines being the self-regulation of the profession by the Bar Associations and the exclusive registration of trainees in the Bar Associations.

In addition, it is proposed that the Panhellenic Competition for candidate lawyers be conducted only with written examinations, under the responsibility of the Plenary, as well as the mandatory attendance of seminars by the trainees, with remuneration throughout their training.

Finally, the Plenary expressed its opposition to any attempt to abolish judicial formations in Administrative Justice.
