ECHR: Interim Measures to Prevent Deportation of 4 Refugees

The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) has issued interim measures to prevent the deportation of four refugees from Eritrea.

The ECHR's decision obliges Greece not to proceed with the deportation of the refugees held in Amygdaleza until their asylum applications are processed.

The organization "Refugee Support Aegean" (RSA) announced the decision, emphasizing that access to asylum is inalienable.

The ECHR issued a similar decision on August 14 for eight Sudanese refugees. For four of them, the Administrative Court of Athens prohibited their deportation.
