Greece and USA Sign Economic Security Declaration

Greece and the United States have signed a joint Economic Security Declaration in Athens. The declaration aims to deepen cooperation in partnerships that strengthen the security of supply chains and promote the development of reliable technological ecosystems.

The Economic Security Declaration was signed by the Under Secretary for Economic Affairs of the United States, Jacob Helberg, the United States Ambassador to Greece, Kymberly Guilfoyle, and on the Greek side by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Haris Theocharis.

The initiative is part of the vision of the President of the United States for a new era of economic diplomacy that will enhance peace and security through private investment, entrepreneurship, and economic cooperation.

Both sides affirmed their commitment to promoting prosperity, technological progress, and economic security, with the aim of strengthening reliable supply chains, promoting reliable artificial intelligence systems, and creating an open investment environment.
