Tsiaras Briefing on OPEKEPE: Questions on Payment Delays

The Minister of Rural Development, Kostas Tsiaras, briefed New Democracy MPs on OPEKEPE payments and the ministry's actions following the presence of OLAF.

The meeting, initiated by Maximos Charakopoulos, focused on payment delays and the organization's operation. MPs such as Christos Boukoros, Giannis Oikonomou, and others, raised questions about the scope and pace of payments.

Kostas Tsiaras emphasized that OLAF's presence is causing temporary difficulty, but there is readiness for disbursements. The payment of the remaining basic support for 2024, as well as support for wine, organic farming, and beekeeping, is planned.

Compensation for damages from the "Daniel" phenomenon and aid for animal feed will follow.
