Famellos: Nuclear Bomb Threat Relevant Again – No More Hiroshima, Nagasaki

The president of SYRIZA-PS, Sokratis Famellos, in a statement on the 80th anniversary of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, stressed that the threat of the atomic bomb is relevant again.
Mr. Famellos emphasized the need for peace through cooperation and dialogue, not through fear. He also called on Greece to take initiatives for nuclear disarmament, as the only security is the abolition of nuclear weapons.
In his post on X, Sokratis Famellos stated: "Peace cannot be based on fear and the power of the strong, but on cooperation, dialogue and international law. Our voice must be strong: No more Hiroshima, no more Nagasaki."
Mr. Famellos added that humanity does not learn from history and disregards international treaties on nuclear disarmament.
