Famelos in Trikala: "The government wants to hide responsibilities for the accident"

The president of SYRIZA-PS, Sokratis Famelos, visited Trikala after the workplace accident at the "Violanta" factory that cost the lives of 5 female workers. He accused the government of attempting a cover-up and concealing responsibilities.
S. Famelos stressed the need for full clarification of the causes of the accident and publication of the audit findings. He criticized the government for insufficient staffing of health and safety services, as well as for anti-labor bills that increase the risk of workplace accidents.
SYRIZA-PS will bring the issue to Parliament with parliamentary scrutiny and specific proposals for safety and health at work. S. Famelos also visited the site of the tragedy and the Department of Inspection of Safety and Health at Work.
