Farandouros Calls for Immediate Delimitation of EEZ between Greece and Cyprus

SYRIZA-PS MEP, Nikos Farandouros, is calling for the immediate delimitation of the EEZ between Greece and Cyprus, emphasizing the need for geopolitical shielding of the country. He points out the negative developments and the strategic encirclement of Greece, including the actions of Turkey and Libya.

Mr. Farandouros refers to the "final cancellation" of the EastMed pipeline and requests information on the compensations received by the country. He comments on the Israel-Egypt agreement for the transfer of Israeli natural gas, expressing concerns about the degradation of energy cooperation between Greece-Israel-Cyprus.

He also raises five questions regarding the Mitsotakis-US Secretary of State communication, regarding the content, the timing, and the challenges against Greece. He calls on the government to wake up and proceed with actions for geopolitical shielding.
