Floridis: Changes to Lawyers' Code Only with Cooperation

Minister of Justice Giorgos Floridis stated that he will not proceed with changes to the Lawyers' Code without the cooperation of lawyers. The statement was made during the Plenary session of the presidents of the Bar Associations of Greece in Ancient Olympia.
At the same time, the Plenary session called on the government to withdraw the amendment to Article 100 of the CPA and to start a dialogue with the bodies of Justice.
Nikos Alivizatos proposed the participation of non-judges in the Supreme Judicial Councils (ADΣ) to stop the "cooking of judges".
The president of the Plenary session, Dimitris Verbesos, referred to the amendment of Article 100 of the CPA, expressing the reactions of the legal world.
Dimitrios Dimitroulopoulos, president of the Ilia Bar Association, stressed the importance of the Plenary session's voice on national issues.
