Georgiadis vs Moraitis on 2015 Capital Controls

Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis responded to a post by lyricist Nikos Moraitis regarding 2014 statements about deposit outflows in the event of a SYRIZA election.

Nikos Moraitis cited a September 2014 article in which Georgiadis allegedly stated he would take his money abroad if the ND-PASOK government fell. Moraitis accused the then Samaras government of leaving the coffers empty and ministers of calling for deposit outflows.

Adonis Georgiadis replied that the money left to be saved from Tsipras and the "First Time Left." He argued that capital controls were a deprivation of individual freedom.

Georgiadis advised Moraitis to stick to songwriting, calling him "slightly irrelevant" in economics.
