8 New Special Needs Schools to Open Across Greece

The Ministry of Education has announced the establishment of eight new special needs schools across Greece for the upcoming academic year. This includes primary and secondary schools, as well as the establishment of additional sectors and specialties in the Unified Special Vocational Gymnasiums - Lyceums (ENEEGYL).
Specifically, the following are being established:
- SPECIAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL OF NESTOS IN DIPE KAVALAS
- SPECIAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL OF CHALANDRI DIPE B'ATHENS
- 1st SPECIAL KINDERGARTEN OF ALIMOS DIPE D' ATHENS
- 1st SPECIAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL OF ALIMOS DIPE D' ATHENS
- SPECIAL KINDERGARTEN OF ALMYROS DIPE MAGNESIAS
- SPECIAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL OF MONOLOFOS DIPE WESTERN THESSALONIKI
- UNIFIED SPECIAL VOCATIONAL GYMNASIUM LYCEUM (EN.E.E.GY.-L.) KARPENISIOU - DIDE EVRYTANIAS
- UNIFIED SPECIAL VOCATIONAL GYMNASIUM LYCEUM (EN.E.E.GY.-L.) KOS - DIDE DODECANESE
In addition, two new sectors and six new specialties are being established in ENEEGYL. The Minister of Education, Sofia Zacharaki, stated that this move confirms the commitment to an inclusive school.
