US Congratulates Greece on Vertical Corridor and P-TEC Agreements

The United States has congratulated Greece on the Vertical Corridor and the P-TEC energy agreements. President Trump's advisor, Jarred Agen, described energy as a "tool for achieving peace in Ukraine," referring to the Vertical Corridor as part of the US energy sovereignty agenda.
Mr. Agen congratulated the Minister of Environment and Energy, Stavros Papastavrou, and emphasized the importance of P-TEC. He referred to trips to Athens for talks with Energy Ministers from Eastern and Central Europe, aiming to flow natural gas from Greece to Ukraine and from Poland to Ukraine.
He announced a meeting on the Vertical Corridor in Washington on February 24 and in Houston during CERAWeek (March 23-27). Oleksiy Ryabchyn, Director of International Relations at NAFTOGAZ, thanked for the assistance and referred to the Naftogaz agreement with the AKTOR-ΔΕΠΑ consortium.
It is recalled that on January 30, 2026, the first agreement for the sale of American LNG to Ukraine was signed by ATLANTIC SEE LNG TRADE, with BP as the supplier and Ukrainian Naftogaz as the buyer. The first LNG cargo will arrive in Revythousa and will be sent to Ukraine in March.
The first commercial agreement for the supply of LNG from the US was signed for 2026, accelerating the implementation of the Vertical Corridor.
